Famekite / free tool
Ad metrics calculator: find where your video ad is leaking.
Put in the numbers from Meta, TikTok or YouTube Ads Manager. The calculator shows whether the problem is the opening, the middle, the click or the landing page, so you fix the right part instead of remaking the whole ad.

Calculate your numbers
Enter your numbers from Ads Manager. Everything is calculated on this page; nothing is sent anywhere.
How to read the results
- Low hook rate: people scroll past in the first seconds. Change the opening line, first frame or on-screen text. See the hook library.
- Good hook, low hold rate: the opening works but the middle loses them. Cut slow parts, show the product sooner, add pattern changes.
- Good hold, low CTR: people watch but don’t click. Make the offer and call to action clearer, and say why to act now.
- Good CTR, low conversion rate: the ad is doing its job; the landing page, price or checkout is the problem.
- High CPM: often audience size, competition or season. It is not always a creative problem.
There is no universal “good” number: it changes by platform, country, industry and offer. Compare each ad with your own previous ads in the same account, not with numbers from someone else’s blog.
Where to find each number
- Meta Ads Manager: add the columns “3-second video plays”, “ThruPlays”, “Link clicks” and your result (purchases, leads, installs).
- TikTok Ads Manager: “2-second video views” / “6-second video views” work for the hook and hold fields; be consistent across ads.
- YouTube / Google Ads: use views and view rate; the “3-second” field can be left empty and the calculator will skip hook rate.
Before you brief us
Is my data saved?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to Famekite.
What is the difference between hook rate and hold rate?
Hook rate shows how many people who saw the ad watched the first seconds. Hold rate shows how many of those kept watching to the longer view mark.
Why don’t you show industry benchmarks?
Benchmarks vary widely by platform, country, offer and season, and many published numbers are not comparable. Your own past ads are a more reliable baseline.
