Famekite / long-form editing

Long-form editing that keeps people watching.

A ten-minute video has to earn every minute. We shape your footage into a clear story with a strong opening, steady pacing and no dead air—without changing what you meant.

What we edit

YouTube videos

Talking-head, vlog, explainer, review and documentary-style videos built around a clear promise in the opening.

Video podcasts

Multi-camera interviews and conversations: camera switching, audio clean-up, chapters and a tidy intro and outro.

Courses and webinars

Lessons, tutorials and recorded talks tightened into something easier to follow, with on-screen labels where they help.

What goes into a good long-form edit

How a long-form project runs

  1. Brief: the audience, the one promise of the video, references you like and anything that must be cut.
  2. Source: raw files from every camera and microphone, plus logos, fonts and any graphics.
  3. First cut: structure and story first, so big decisions happen before polish.
  4. Review: one consolidated list of timecoded notes.
  5. Final: polish, sound mix, colour, captions and exports for each platform.

Want clips from the same recording? Pair this with clipping and repurposing so the long video and the shorts are planned together.

What to watch after publishing

Check where viewers drop off in the first minute and whether they reach the main point. Click-through rate mostly reflects the title and thumbnail; retention mostly reflects the opening and the edit. Look at each separately before deciding what to change next time.

Before you request a quote

For an accurate quote, send a sample of raw footage, the number of cameras and audio tracks, target length, graphics needs and whether thumbnails or shorts are included.

Compare quotes like-for-like with the scope comparison in our free resource pack. Our client stories are client-reported experiences, not guaranteed results for your project.

Before you brief us

Do you edit podcasts with several cameras?

Yes. Send every camera angle and each separate audio track. Synced, clearly named files make the edit faster and cleaner.

Can you make thumbnails and shorts too?

Yes. Thumbnails, chapters, captions and vertical clips can be added to the same scope so everything stays consistent.

How long does a long-form edit take?

It depends on the footage length, number of cameras, graphics and revision rounds. We agree a turnaround with you before starting, based on a sample of your footage.

What affects the cost of long-form video editing?

Mainly footage length and condition, number of cameras, graphics, sound repair, thumbnails and how many videos per month. Share those details and we will send a scoped quote rather than a generic price.

How are revisions handled?

Review rounds are agreed in writing before work starts. Small fixes are different from changing the direction after approval; anything extra is approved before it is done.

A clear next step

Bring the goal. We’ll discuss the scope.

Share your audience, existing assets and the job you need the creative to do. Deliverables, timing, revisions and any media budget are agreed before work starts.
