Famekite / video editing
Social media video editing services for Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
Turn your supplied footage into focused, on-brand short videos. Famekite edits for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, with the edit, captions and delivery versions scoped around what you need to publish.
Know what you are commissioning
Whether you need one cut or a planned batch, start with a delivery list—not just a runtime. Agree these items in the quote so the finished files match the job:
- Story and selection: an edit from your selected passages, or source review to find suitable moments.
- Picture and sound: pacing, framing, color and audio work appropriate to the condition of your recordings.
- Captions and graphics: the language, approved wording and visual style, including whether a separate subtitle file is required.
- Versions: base edits, alternate openings and placement exports identified separately.
- Handoff: agreed finished files; editable projects and linked assets only where included and permitted.
Need a quote? Bring a representative source file, your intended channels and a rough delivery list to the call. We discuss what is feasible before agreeing the work. Filming, posting, media buying and paid asset licences are not automatically included.
One idea, adapted to the placement
Famekite edits short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. A useful brief identifies whether the piece should explain a product, demonstrate a feature, answer an objection or prompt an action.
One edit does not automatically suit every placement. Frame composition, caption position, opening shot, sound and closing action should be reviewed for where the video will appear. We agree exports against intended placements rather than promising one universal format.
Instagram Reels, TikTok and Shorts: scope the right edit
Instagram Reels editing
Tell us whether the Reel introduces your brand, explains a product or supports an offer. We plan the opening, caption treatment and framing around that job. A product detail that matters should remain visible rather than disappear beneath a graphic. Supply brand references and distinguish the parts you want to retain from effects you do not want copied.
TikTok video editing
Separate an organic post from a paid placement in the brief. Agree the tone, source material and permitted sound before building an edit around a trend. Captions, a tighter sequence and a clear opening can help explain the idea; they are not a promise of virality or sales.
YouTube Shorts and long-form cutdowns
A viewer should understand the short without watching the full episode. Retain necessary qualifications, introduce the subject and avoid starting halfway through a thought. Our long-form repurposing example shows how to choose moments before commissioning a batch.
We agree exports for the actual placements. Current platform specifications, interface overlays and music permissions need checking for the intended use; one file is not automatically ready everywhere.
What to send your editor
- Original footage: best-quality files, not a screen recording of a published post.
- Context: who is watching and the one idea they should remember.
- Selection notes: timestamps, must-keep lines and anything that must not appear.
- Brand assets: logo, fonts, colours, caption style and references.
- Permissions: rights to footage, music, voices, quotes and identifiable people.
- Delivery brief: channels, language, duration, versions and approval owner.
Filming, voiceover, licensed stock and generated assets require separate planning. Editing supplied footage and producing source material are different scopes.
From long take to purposeful short
- Select the idea: find a passage that makes sense without the rest of the recording.
- Build the opening: start with a useful question, visible action or specific benefit—not a misleading promise.
- Shape the sequence: remove repetition while preserving meaning and context.
- Make it readable: review captions, names, product terms and on-screen details.
- Finish for the channel: check framing, audio and the final call to action.
For paid campaigns, connect the edit to a creative test. For organic content, agree publishing responsibility and schedule separately.
An illustrative edit handoff
An imaginary founder interview contains this line at source 02:14–02:25: “I check the project list every morning, but I used to miss the deadlines that fell on the same day.” The timecodes below are a teaching example, not references to a supplied client file.
| Source → output | Edit decision | Approval check |
|---|---|---|
| Interview 02:18–02:25 → opening | Begin with the overlapping-deadline problem; retain the speaker’s meaning. | Speaker confirms the shortened line is accurate. |
| Approved demo recording → middle | Show the real conflict view; caption the action rather than cover it. | Product owner confirms the feature and screens are current. |
| Approved end card → close | Use one next step that matches the destination. | Campaign owner approves offer wording and usage. |
This handoff gives the editor a reason for each cut and gives the reviewer a concrete decision. If source material does not support the story, change the concept—not the speaker’s meaning.
A review checklist you can actually use
| Check | Question to ask |
|---|---|
| Meaning | Does the short preserve the original claim and context? |
| Opening | Is the subject clear without reading the caption below the post? |
| Sound off | Do accurate captions and visuals carry the essential message? |
| Phone screen | Are product details and subtitles readable without zooming? |
| Rights | Is each asset permitted for this organic or paid use? |
| Next step | Is there one action rather than competing instructions? |
Watch our selected reel and creative work. Concept work is labelled and is not evidence of client campaign performance.
Views are one signal, not the whole result
Decide whether success means useful viewing, profile interest, enquiries or a tracked conversion. Retention can help identify a confusing opening; a high view count alone cannot tell you whether the right buyers watched. Keep comparisons within a clear timeframe and account for changes in distribution or spend.
How to compare short-form video editing quotes
Two quotes for “five short videos” may describe very different amounts of work. Compare the same source material and delivery list before comparing the total. These are scope questions, not a published price list.
| Decision | Ask each provider | Why it changes the quote |
|---|---|---|
| Source selection | Am I providing timecodes, or are you reviewing the full recording? | Finding the story is work before the first cut. |
| Footage condition | What sound or picture repair is included, and what is not recoverable? | A short export can require substantial preparation. |
| Base edits and variations | Are alternate hooks new edits or versions of the same sequence? | New stories and resized exports are not equivalent deliverables. |
| Captions and languages | Who approves terminology, translation and subtitle files? | Language review and file formats affect production and approval. |
| Feedback and revisions | Which revision rounds are included, and how are direction changes quoted? | A correction differs from replacing the concept or source footage. |
| Delivery and ownership | Which exports, project files and third-party assets may I receive and reuse? | Working files and asset licences must be agreed explicitly. |
| Schedule | When does work start, when is the first draft due, and how does late feedback affect delivery? | A deadline only makes sense alongside ready inputs and approvals. |
Our editing price and timing are agreed after reviewing the scope. There is no universal per-minute rate or guaranteed turnaround published here. Reducing unnecessary versions and preparing source notes can simplify the work without cutting essential checks.
One-off editing or a recurring batch?
A single project needs a clear delivery list and final approval. Recurring work also needs a predictable flow of source material, an agreed priority order and someone responsible for consolidated feedback.
- One-off project: identify the source files, required edits, revision allowance and delivery date.
- Recurring enquiry: describe expected volume, source availability, weekly or monthly cadence and likely urgent requests.
- Before committing: agree capacity, review windows, pricing and how changes or pauses are handled.
Recurring work can be discussed, but this is not a published subscription or an unlimited-editing offer. Do not assume unused capacity rolls over, a specific editor is reserved or rush delivery is included unless the agreement says so.
Before you request a quote
Send a representative source file before agreeing a batch. Audio quality, footage organisation and the amount of usable material matter more than the final clip length alone.
- Selection: specify whether you supply timecodes or need the editor to find the strongest passages.
- Captions: agree language, spelling of product terms, burned-in text and whether a separate subtitle file is required.
- Review: return one timecoded feedback list rather than conflicting comments across messages.
- Delivery: confirm export formats, project-file requirements, permitted usage and what happens if source material changes.
Use the scope comparison to distinguish editing from filming and publishing. Browse creative work for execution and client-reported experiences for context; the testimonials are not controlled tests of editing performance.

Before you brief us
Do you post the videos too?
Posting and distribution can be discussed, but are not automatically included in editing. Specify channels, access, approvals and schedule.
Can a podcast or webinar become several shorts?
Potentially, if it contains several self-contained ideas and you hold the rights. Source length alone does not establish how many useful clips it contains.
Do you provide unlimited revisions or fixed turnaround?
No universal promise is published here. Revisions and timing are agreed against the source material, deliverables and approval process.
Can music from a social app be used in paid ads?
Do not assume an in-app sound is licensed for every commercial use. Confirm rights for the specific track, account, placement and campaign.
What affects the cost of short-form video editing?
Source length and condition, editorial selection, caption languages, graphics, sound repair and the number of versions all affect scope. A short final video can still require extensive source review. Share a sample and delivery list rather than requesting a price from duration alone.
Can we receive editable project files and captions?
Specify project files, linked assets, software compatibility and subtitle formats before quoting. Do not assume they are part of a finished-video export; third-party music, fonts and stock may have separate licence restrictions.
A clear next step
Bring the goal. We’ll discuss the scope.
Share your audience, existing assets and the job you need the creative to do. Deliverables, timing, revisions and any media budget are agreed before work starts.
